I remember my first encounter with a pc. It was around 1984 and my neighborhood buddy became a proud owner of a Sinclair ZX Spectrum+. It was love at first sight !
It didn't matter that in order to play a game we had to load a cassette player and wait around 20 minutes. It didn't matter that most of the times, the loading procedure went wrong and had to start all over again. It didn't matter that we only had one game to play (i think it was Elite!).
That summer was unique.
And after that, as you can imagine I had to get me one of these !!!
So I started saving money, doing all sort of chores and eventually begging my folks to help me get a PC.
And on Xmas eve (1985) i did it !
This beauty (not really !!), a CPC 6128 was sitting comfortably on my desk.
I remember that i started playing with it on a Friday afternoon and stopped on Sunday morning,....eventually coming down with a fever !!
Bombjack, Shinobi, Ghosts 'n Goblins .....
..a tear goes running down my cheek.....lol
